Steps for Setting Up WhatsApp Integration with Interakt BSP

  1. Access the Admin Panel
  • Log into your system’s admin panel.
  • Use the search bar at the top to find WhatsApp Integration. Refer to the Figure below.

  1. Create a New Integration
  • In the WhatsApp Integration section, locate and click the Create Integration button. This will begin setting up a new integration (see Figure 2).

  1. Choose BSP Provider
  • A list of BSPs (Business Service Providers) will appear. Select Interakt as your BSP provider from the dropdown menu.

  1. Interakt Integration Page
  • After selecting Interakt, you will be taken to the Interakt integration setup page.
  • You must enter your API Key to link Interakt with your CRM system.

  1. How to get API Key from Interakt Portal.

Quick Guide to Retrieve the API Key from the Interakt Portal

  1. Log In to Interakt
  • Visit the Interakt login page.
  • Enter your administrator account credentials to access the portal.
  1. Access Developer Settings
  • In the portal, locate your Haptik Account Name on the main dashboard or sidebar (as shown in Figure 1).

  • Click on your account name to open Developer Settings.
  1. Find and Copy the API Key
  • In the Developer Settings section, you’ll see your API Key displayed.
  • Click on the Copy button next to the API Key to save it.

Note - Paste this API Key into a secure location, such as Notepad, as it will be needed for CRM integration.

  1. Integration and Test Configuration -
  • Add your API Key.
  • Add Template Details to test your configuration.(Approved template only and it must be a type of text).
  • Add your phone number according to your country with a valid number that exists in the WhatsApp account to receive WhatsApp messages.
  • Click on the Send WhatsApp button to send the message.
  • If the API key and template details are proper you will get Message Success with Flash Message Message being queued and sent Via Interakt this means your configuration is proper.
  • Click to Save the configuration.

  1. Interakt Template Creation:
  • Go to the Template Module and create a template.
  • As Shown in the Figure Below.
  • Change the Template Type to Module Wise
  • If the template is WABA then mark the Checkbox.

Now Add the template Details for Interakt In the Template Module:

Required Fields

  1. Template Name (Must be Same as per the Portal)
  2. Template Body.
  3. Template type (Text, Document, Image)
  4. Template Language.

The above WABA metadata must be added to the template module, and the templates being added must be approved.

The Following Figure shows the Data Adding procedure for the WABA template and follows the steps.

Once added the template’s details do save the template .

How to Map a CRM Variable with Interakt template. ?

To use a CRM template variable with an Interakt template, replace the variable placeholder {{1}} with the appropriate variable name based on your module’s use case.

For example, if the body content is “Dear {{1}}, Welcome to CRM,” and you are using this template in the Contact module, replace {{1}} with the contact’s variable. For instance, you would write: “Dear {{first_name}}, Welcome to CRM.”

The Variable Map Content should be added in the WhatsApp Description , Do follow the following figure listed below for reference .

Once the Template gets created, use this template in workflow or campaign .

8: How to use the WABA template in a module .

  • Once you have created the template module wise then go to that module for example ,the created template is for Contact Module then you should go to either list or Detail View of the Module and click on whatsApp icon to send WhatsApp message
  • Search the template name on as shown in the below figure
  • Once the template is selected then click to send Message .

Once the message is sent Successfully ,You will get notified with Flash Message as Shown in the Below Figure .

Once on success of the message the logs get created and it shows in the WhatsApp history panel as shown in the below figure.
