During Export and Import of Company/Account address not-updated field values are getting erased

I wanted to update ‘State’ field of all companies - as it was blank in all records. So, I exported the values to Excel.

I updated the ‘State’ field in Excel. Kept Record no, Org Name, City, State, and Country fields in Excel. And imported in into Sangam CRM with update existing records selection. While importing I selected ‘Address-1’ fields viz., City, State and Country.

Upon examination of imported data I noticed that Office ‘type’ field and ‘address’ field values have disappeared in the Company (accounts).

How to retain these field values while updating ‘address’ field values in Company (accounts)?

Waiting for someone to acknowledge at least.

My customer data is not having main address data now.

Apologies for the delayed response. While importing and updating data, if you update a column for multi-fields (such as phone, email, or address that accepts multiple values), it overrides the existing data with the new one.

In your case, could you kindly provide a process video for our reference, showing which fields you are mapping during the import?

It’s not possible to create a video now and our data is damaged.

But, I can tell you how I did it. I wanted to update ‘State’ field of existing records. So, I mapped record no, state with first address state.

And I lost address type and address field values.
