In the quotation PDF, I want to show value of a custom field i.e. “Internal product name” for all line items. It is like unique product code for all product masters. I tried below options but no success :

using templates print format does not allow to add variables from other modules i.e. product master

using PDF settings allow to change only the header and footer

in quotation settings, under line items there is no field for “Internal product name”. There are other fields like product code and product number but that also do not affect the PDF.
I use the description section for any such information that is going to remain the same on the product master. For any changes , I use the line item mode.

I would like to inform you that the points you mentioned will require customization, as the Quotation module is static. Also, one more important thing to note is that we do not provide customization in the free CRM, as this is a management decision.
May I also ask the purpose behind having this implemented? Perhaps we can try exploring some alternative workarounds for your requirement.
Thanks for the reply. The description field does not have these options in studio hence need some other solution - global search, Importable Check Duplicate, Find Duplicate On, Check Duplicate, Duplicate Prevention, Importable Check Update.
By line item mode means the quotation edit page ?
This is paid CRM account. The purpose is that we want to print the product code in the quotation PDF. Currently product code is captured in a custom field named “Internal product name”.
Besides description field, I tried below fields and faced the following challenges :
- product code - values are stored in product masters but in quotation module the values are showing blank
- part number, product extra 1 and 2 - values from master is visible correctly but it seems we need to customise these to print on PDF.
