I have a couple of questions about how the CRM handles duplicate detection:
- Scope of Duplicate Checks:
- When uploading a list of leads, does the CRM check for duplicates across the entire system, or only within the specific module (e.g., Leads)?
- For example, if a lead in the list has already been converted to an opportunity, will the upload process also check for duplicates in the Opportunity, Company, and Contact modules, or just within the Leads module? This is to ensure we do not end up with duplicates across different modules, which might result in unnecessary work on the same lead.
- User Privacy Settings and Duplicate Checks:
- If all users have their settings set to private and are uploading their leads individually, will the CRM check for duplicates across the entire system or only within each user’s private list?
- In such a case, would it be necessary for only the admin to perform uploads to effectively manage duplicates? Additionally, I’ve noticed that global search does not seem to work across the entire system when users are set to private.
