I have created a Visit module in which I have generated a Visit number (Number Field). I have also set up auto-numbering from Admin > Features > Auto Number Generate.
However, the auto-numbering is not being fetched automatically, and it only shows the option for manual entry.

Hello Mam,
The configuration you set up is correct. The issue was that the field was not included in the detail view layout
and one more thing, if i am not wrong.
Mam Auto Number Generate after save records. not in Edit View. just save it and check,
as per @Aakanksha mam, Set Auto Number Filed in Details view and other view as requried,.
Note: agar Possible hai to Auto Number Field ko Read Only Set kar dijiye kyonki vaise bhi usme koi Entry nahi kari nahi.

Yes, it is read-only and is placed in all layouts except the Edit view.
